Success Tips - DO what you love most.

“Along with a strong belief in your own inner voice, you also need laser-like focus combined with unwavering determination.” -Larry Flynt

Are you restless in your current job position and hate going into work everyday? Do you have a nagging want to do something else or a particular goal to accomplish? Most psychologists believe that if individuals ignore their desires, they will end up having increasing restlessness.

If you have to work 40 or more hours a week, you should at least be doing something you enjoy. Desires are often blocked out by the daily grind and people forget that they have goals they want to accomplish.

Procrastination is a dream stealer and can leave you bitter in your old age. If you want to do something you truly enjoy you need to start today. You are capable of anything you set your mind to. With the right amount of time, energy, and pure determination you can do anything your heart desires.

Perhaps you are doing something you hate simply because you do not know what you would really enjoy doing. Begin by taking the time to reflect on what makes you happy. Make a list of professions you would like to try or activities that you enjoy doing.

Think back to your childhood and what games you liked to play. Think about who you pretended to be and what you loved to do. Ask yourself “What do I want to achieve in my work?” Is it only individual success, or do you have hopes of changing the world?

You may want to consider visiting the local library or looking online for career resources, classes, or even a life advisor. This will help you bring into focus what you would love to do with your life. This is the first step in doing what you love. Once you have decided on the path just go for it and implement your plan. There is plenty of time along the way to build skills, and acquire new knowledge.

Another factor which prevents people from doing what they love is age. Many people think they are simply too old for a career change and are resigned to live out their miserable existence. Whether you are a new graduate, a middle aged mother of 4, or a new retiree – you still have the time and energy to achieve those dreams which have been pushed to the sidelines. Doing what you love will bring fulfillment and satisfaction in your life that is unmatched by any other endeavor.

Begin your new life today!
